MABALL 500MG INJECTION contains Rituximab which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticancer drugs. It is used to treat blood cancer (leukaemia) and lymph cancer (lymphoma). It can also be used to treat various auto-immune disease conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels) and pemphigus vulgaris (severe skin blistering and peeling especially on the mouth, nose, throat, eyes and genitals).
It is mostly used in combination with other cytotoxic anticancer agents to achieve better results. It is suitable for use both in adults and in children (aged 6 months or older). It will be administered to you only by an oncologist or a trained professional into your vein (as intravenous infusion).
The most common side effects of receiving this medicine are fever, chills, skin rashes with itching, shortness of breath and low blood pressure. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect worsens.

Composition: Each vial contains: 500mg Pemetrexed IP (Formulated with Pemetrexed Disodium Heptahydrate LP), 500 mg Mannitol I.P. as bulking agent, Hydrochloride Acid Solution I.P. (10%) q.s. and/or Sodium Hydroxide Solution I.P (10%) qs. may have been added for pH adjustment.
To reconstitute. Add 20 ml of sodium chloride
9 mg/ml (0.9 %) solution for injection, without preservative, to make a solution containing
25 mg/ml. pemetrexed.
Gently swirl each vial until the powder is completely dissolved. Reconstituted solution must be further diluted before use.

Storage: Unopened vial-Store at controlled room temperature (below 25°C).
Reconstituted and infusion solutions should be used immediately. If not used immediately, in-use storage times and conditions prior to use are the responsibility of the user and would normally not be longer than 24 hours at 2°C to 8°C, unless reconstitution/dilution has taken place in controlled and validated aseptic conditions.
